Louisville travel club announces plans

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An Indianapolis-based travel club has announced plans to offer direct flights to and from Louisville International Airport.

In a report, Heritage Travel Club said he plans to start operations by 2016 and has already found local investors. The club is studying the possibility of renting the old Northwest Airlines doors at the airport. Memberships will cost $ 149 for individuals or $ 199 for families. Membership benefits will include a TSA pre-check program, free onboard wifi, and free hot in-flight meals.

The Legacy Travel Club brochure lists the following destinations among its non-stop destinations:

  • California: Burbank, Napa Valley, Orange County, San Francisco
  • Florida: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Melbourne – Orlando, St. Petersburg, West Palm Beach.
  • Caribbean islands
  • Mexico
  • Canada
  • Day Trips: Mackinac Island, Mount Rushmore, Savannah, Charleston, Colonial Williamsburg, New York City

The group also announced flights to Super Bowl venues and Indianapolis Colts away games.

Legacy Travel Club was founded by a native of Madison Chris Allen. Prior to founding this company, Allen worked for the now defunct American Trans Air, based in Indianapolis.
